To create designs that stand apart, you can't always take the safe path.
You have to be willing to break the rules...to color outside the lines...to do the unexpected. For Nevamar that's always been true, both in its innovative product line...and in its advertising.

1983 - Surreal Salmon. This poster introduced Nevamar's new "Dots" Pattern, available in Salmon and Gray, "spawning" dozens of imaginative ideas. It also marked the beginning of a surreal campaign which ran for two years.

1983 – Bubbling with Originality. Another poster in the surreal series, introducing the Vogue Collection of contemporary colors, particularly suited to retail environments.

1987 – An Eye on Texture. Trompe l'oeil comes to Nevamar. The first appearance of the tabletop with all objects depicted in 100% scale. The goal of these ads is to present the essence of the product in an intriguing way, with a story that's open to broad interpretation. In this case, the visual texture of Nevamar's popular Matrix laminate was the subject.

1988 – A Striking Example of Flexibility. The essence of The Contours Collection of tambours was its ability to wrap and conform to curved surfaces with dramatic results.

1989 – Nice Shot. Even today, Vitricor acrylic surfaces provide one of the most unique looks of any surface available. With its rich, brilliant colors and deep gloss appearance, it might remind one of a... candy apple.

1993 – Watch the Birdie. Actually three ads in one l-o-o-o-ng insert, which connected new product introductions for the whole Nevamar product line through a single theme. This ad marked the first use of computer enhancement to create Nevamar ad images. To this point, all "tricks" and effects had been created in camera with very little retouching of any kind.

1994 – A Leap Out of the Ordinary. Another insert to introduce the full Nevamar line of surfacing products. What could be more ordinary than brown paper bags? Leave it to Nevamar to bring the ordinary to life.

1996 – Which Way is Up? Playing with the perspective of these two surfaces fools the eye in this ad for LamMates. The dominoes, cups and saucers illustrate the coordination of LamMates HPL and MCP.

1996 – Let's Make Things Perfectly Clear. New ARmored Protection Plus surfaces not only keep Nevamar laminates looking new longer, but they have outstanding fidelity and clarity for brighter, sharper colors, particularly in woodgrains. It's like a fog was lifted.

1997 – Which Came First? This insert launched another exciting product introduction full of innovative design ideas. Why chickens? Why eggs? Why egg beaters? Why not?

1998 – Got scissors? A fun and fantastic expression of the designer's need to break the rules.

2000 – A playful fashion parade of items that scratch and scuff ordinary laminates, but not Nevamar laminates with our exclusive ARP Plus Surface.

2000 – While the scientist is away... the mice will conduct their own tests on Nevamar's tough new ChemArmor™ laminate.

2002– For those who "get it". Daughter does. Dad's not sure. Edgy, alluring bold colors and vibrant textures intended to inspire designers who crave new colors, textures and means of expression.

2003 - Of course, some of us don't need any enhancements to preserve our natural beauty.
